Wine Festivals

The Pfalz region is a major player in the German wine scene, stretching from the hills and forests and across the valley of the River Rhine. Pfalz is famous for its especially mild, almost Mediterranean climate and its many happy wine festivals that are being celebrated almost throughout the year!

In January the festivities start with the wintery Red Wine Vineyard Walks and spring season is enthusiastically celebrated, as soon as the countless number of almond trees, all lined up along the German Winestreet, start to blossom, thus dressing the region in soft nuances of pink.

Almost every weekend there is a wine fest to celebrate somewhere in Pfalz, in one of the many wine villages. In fall - when the grapes are harvested - the biggest festivals take place in Bad Dürkheim and then in Neustadt, where the harvest wine festival ends the season with three weeks of festivities.
