Five new business members in Culinary Heritage of the Opolskie Region

Five new business members recived cerificates in regional network during the 15th edition of "Our Culinary Heritage-Tastes of the Regions Contest" on June 28 th 2015 .

2-day forum for members of the Network Culinary Heritage of the Opolskie Region

On 5-6 November 2014 members of the Network Culinary Heritage of the Opolskie Region took part the annual forum of CH Opolskie

The first day of the conference was organized at the Hotel Festival in Opole. Participants had the opportunity to taste dishes such as: polewka na maślance (buttermilk soup) and karminadle z królika z prażuchami (rabbit served with potato dumplings ). The meeting was attended by local producers and food processors from the CH Opolskie and representatives of institutions supporting the development of the market of local products. During the first day , participants had the opportunity to learn about new opportunities and challenges associated with the production and sale of local products.


Member of Board of Opolskie Region Antoni Konopka, stressed the importance of cooperation between business members producing regional and traditional products . Members should be proud of belonging to this noble group and should place the logo at the entrance to the restaurant / firms and on their products. The Logo “Culinary Heritage Opolskie” is a guarantee of high quality food, the food from our region!
For a better promotion of the network Self Government of the Opolskie Region gave its business members aprons and hats with CH Opolskie logo.

During the second day participants took part in a study trip to the BM of Culinary Heritage of Opolskie. The first stop was PPHU PIEKARNIA GRABOWSKI ( in Otmice ) – a bakery presenting good practices related to the production of " Kołocz Ślaski (Silesian cake) having a Protected Geographical Indication .
The second place was Rzeźnictwo, Wędliniarstwo Ryszrd Mroczek ( in Tarnow Opolski ) a producer of meat products, including traditional product such as " krupniok śląski " . Another place was Fan Agri s.c. (in Spórok ) producer of traditional fried cheese.

Study trip ended with a dinner composed of regional dishes such as :cream of mushroom , home roast with potatoes dumplings , fried white cabbage and gravy served at Gościniec Stara Kuźnia (in Debska Kuźnia).

Opolskie Culinary Classics at the Jan Kochanowski Theatre in Opole

On 20-26 May 2014, members of the Network Culinary Heritage of the Opolskie Region promoted their products during 39 Theatre Confrontations Festival at the Jan Kochanowski Theatre in Opole.

Participants of the confrontations could buy and try products with the Culinary Heritage Opolskie trade mark and other local organic and traditional food products. Among exhibitors one could also buy kołocz śląski (Silesian cake) the first regional product registered in the European Union as a Protected Geographical Indication.

The following business members took part in the festival: PPHU Kłos sc, Cukiernia Europa (representing the members of the Consortium of Kołocz Śląski Producers) and Kulinaria-Cukierek Shop , Okręgowa Spółdzielnia Mleczarska w Oleśnie, „Nad Prosną” Apiary, Biolife Organic Firm, Agroturism Farm „Cichy Zakątek” in Lubicz, "U Mnicha” Restaurant "and Agrotourism and Ecological Farm „Eko Gościniec w Sadzie”.
