Rinse the cabbage and cut finely. Cover with water and cook until tender. Then, add the spelt groats and cook, stirring frequently, until the groats are a bit overcooked (gluey). Cut bacon and onion finely and fry in lard. Add to the cabbage and season to taste.
0.5 kg spelt groats
2 kg sauerkraut
0.3 kg onions
0.5 kg smoked bacon
lard for frying
pepper, cumin, salt, marjoram
