TRADITIONAL PIE FROM THE ISLAND OF VIS

Fry the finely chopped onion and root vegetables in olive oil. When vegetables get a golden color, add the finely chopped tomatoes and pour white wine. Spice the sauce and leave it to reduce.

Divide the dough into two pieces and roll out to a thickness of 1 cm. Put the stuffing and anchovies or sardines on the dough, then fold the dough with the other half of the dough and press edges. Coat the dough with olive oil and bake for 30 minutes at 180o C.
Ingredients:
Ingredients (4 persons)

DOUGH
• flour (600 g)
• fresh yeast (1 pc)
• salt (optionally)
• olive oil (0.05 dcl)

Add warm water and yeast to flour. Leave the dough to settle for half an hour. Meanwhile, make the filling.

FILLING
• olive oil (0.05 dcl)
• onion (1 pc)
• fresh tomatoes (400 g)
• white wine (1 dcl)
• root vegetables (100 g)
• spices (optionally)
• anchovy or salted sardine fillet (80 g)
